The United States armed forces continue to bomb the people of Afghanistan and now U.S. Marines are on the ground. Thousands of Afghan civilians are still fleeing their homes and millions more are threatened with starvation as winter approaches.

Meanwhile, at home the USA Patriot Act, preventive detentions, secret evidence, and mass roundups of immigrants are being justified in the name of the "War on Terrorism"? Muslims are increasingly being labeled as the enemy by the Justice Department's recent actions, whether they are citizens or immigrants. Is it just a coincidence that the "new war" is primarily being aimed at people of color both abroad and here at home?

Over a thousand people remain in "preventive detention" with little, if any, information regarding the charges against them or their condition. People organizing around a wide variety of political causes are finding themselves labeled "terrorists" as the right to dissent is placed under threat. Who is being terrorized?
