at Fountain Square, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Nearly a year has passed since the Cincinnati Uprising. Since the killing of young Timothy Thomas. Still we have seen no significant changes in Cincinnati criminal justice policies, or in other policies affecting our citizens. The city government, the local courts, the police department, and the U.S. Department of Justice have yet to bring justice to the citizens of Cincinnati -- least of all to its African American citizens.
We have begun to organize a peaceful, legal, nonviolent demonstration of remembrance, to occur on the anniversary of young Mr. Thomas's death. Join us at 3:00 on April 7, 2002 at Fountain Square, Cincinnati, Ohio. We will demonstrate to the city, the nation, and the world that we continue our call for justice. We shall carry on the fight for human rights and for democracy in Cincinnati.
Join the weekly planning meetings! We are developing an agenda of education and action to challenge racism, police abuse and violence, economic injustice and the unresponsive political system.
Meetings held Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. St. John's Unitarian Church, 320 Resor Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio
